This recognition is obtained through the voluntary and free participation of companies located in the urban perimeter of Bogotá, where they receive guidance on compliance with environmental procedures and obligations, optimization of processes through the efficient use of natural and material resources, and the provision of guidelines for the creation or strengthening of their environmental management systems. The accompaniment lasts 10 months, during which time follow-ups are carried out until the results are delivered.
In this first participation, the Papelsa Bogotá plant managed to reach level III of this recognition, which is the maximum in ACERCAR, it is granted for two years and is a step towards achieving the PREAD certification (Business Environmental Excellence Recognition Program).
